The Professional Certificate in Real Estate Wealth Management (PC-REWM) aims to prepare participants for jobs in real estate wealth planning, investment advisory and analysis, transaction and agency, etc. The programme will focus on the understanding and provision of customised real estate wealth planning; provision of advisory services such as real estate products, markets & services, and real estate investment strategies.

The course aims to provide: 

(1) overview of real estate wealth and value creation;
(2) understanding of real estate eco-system;
(3) understanding risk appetite and investment returns,
(4) analysing effect of leverage; and
(5) overview of real estate development and financing.






Real Estate Investment Analysis

The course focuses on an in-depth understanding of real estate (RE) market and investment analysis the following:

(1) RE markets, transactions and price discovery;
(2) cash flow analysis and returns;
(3) RE market analysis: market segmentation, evaluation of demand and supply;
(4) RE cycle;
(5) RE investment framework & criteria;
(6) residential and commercial RE financing and mechanics; and
(7) buying pre-completion properties

Asset Management

The course aims to provide a practical and analytical framework for managing real estate (RE) assets in the following: 

(1) physical asset management;
(2) property maintenance management;
(3) facilities management;
(4) fire safety management;
(5) lease management; and
(6) asset enhancement programme.


Risk Management for Real Estate

The course aims to provide participants with knowledge in understanding and mitigating risk in real estate covering areas in: 

(1) components of real estate (RE) risk;

(6) risk-return tradeoffs.


REITs and Business Trusts

The course aims to provide coverage of the ever-expanding real estate investment universe encompassing REITs, property stocks, property funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs):

(2) characteristics and features as investment vehicles;
(3) income and capital appreciation drivers;
(4) private equity real estate funds;

The course aims to provide the intrinsic linkage and interaction between real estate (RE) wealth and the urban environment/policy and coverage includes:

(3) land use planning and related public policies;

Real Estate Wealth Financial Analysis

The course aims to provide a macroeconomic and business perspectives on real estate wealth management (REWM) by way of:
